Live Resumes
What is "Live Resume"? Live Resume is a great opportunity for job seekers to "sell" their experiences, skills, and qualities to a room full of Washington State Diversity Network members, many of which have current job openings and hiring needs! At each monthly meeting 10 job seekers get 1 to 2 minutes in front of the room to explain why an employer should hire them. Generally the live resumes give an overview of their experiences and skills. It is very important that the job seeker have their presentation well rehearsed and timed beforehand. If they go beyond 2 minutes they will be cutoff. It is also important that the job seeker be dressed as though they were going to an interview and they bring plenty of copies of their resume to handout to employers and others they meet through networking.
